JXTA in embedded devices

Not wanting to offend anybody but I'd like to know is there any chance that JXTA might run on Java Engines which are not SUN's? I want to mess with JXTA in a gumstix computer on which there are a few Java implementations but as an embedded system they may or may not be complete enough for the job.

Does anybody have any knowledge of this. Is it a straight Red Card and no chance at all or is it a try it out and see how it goes?

Thanks for any advice.

Hi,

If you can run any 'normal' java applications on your non-Sun engines, then you should not encounter issues with JXTA/JXSE.

In my honest opinion, it is a try out and see how it goes...

Cheers,

J.
