GlassFish Server Adapter for Eclipse not found

I tried to install the "GlassFish Server Adapter" as described on

https://metro.dev.java.net/guide/Developing_with_Eclipse.html
and
https://glassfishplugins.dev.java.net/eclipse34/index.html

. But the GlassFish Adapter does not appear in the downloaded list (..., Geronimo, GlassFish, Jetty, ...). I traced the HTTP traffic when my Eclipse (3.4.1) crawls the web, and the results were:

download.boulder.ibm.com (WebSphere adapter)
download.oracle.com (Oracle WebLogic Server adapter)
update.eclipse.org/updates/3.3/site.xml (404)
www.apache.org (Geronimo adapter)
www.webtide.com/eclipse/site.xml (302 to morphexchange.com)
www.morphexchange.com (has a circular 302)
www.pramati.com (Pramati Server adapter)

None of these appears to host the GlassFish server adapter.

Does Eclipse 3.4.1 look in the wrong places? Or has the adapter vanished?

Can anybody tell me the express update site URL?

Thanks in advance,

Arno

Hi,

I have been trying to install the glassfish adapter(Plug in) in eclipse, I am following

Eclipse 3.4 and GlassFish Java EE 5 integration (The links mentioned in the first post)

I have eclipse ganymede (3.4).

When the author mentions

After a fresh restart, you'll see the GlassFish category in the "New Server" wizard:

This just never happens

After installation I cannot see Glassfish Server type category while configuring a new server.

Whats wrong , I can see the jars in the plugins and features folder I can also see it in the configurations !!

OK, the update site seems to be

https://ajax.dev.java.net/eclipse

I have NO CLUE WHATSOEVER why the "Download additional server adapters" does not work in my Eclipse installation.

A strange idea anyway to download and install plugins from the "Servers" view, and not "Help / Software updates

I have the same problem, and I know why it happens but I dont know how to fix it...

if you open your internal browser in eclipse and go https://ajax.dev.java.net/eclipse (wich is where the server adapter is) an error comes up about the server certificate or something... fix that an you fix the problem... but how... :(

You have to configure proxy settings in > Window > Preferences and not to forget to check "Use this proxy server for SSL.
