¿What about JavaFx? I've recently heard that it's going to be avalaible in the future movile phones, and if this come true ¿why not in STB or Blue Ray Disc players?

Hi there.

You said JavaFX will come soon.
Do you have information when exactly and whether IPTV is supported?

Regarding when FX TV will be out - please stay tune to up coming JavaOne (early June in San Fransisco).

Regarding the IPTV support, the short answer is yes. There is no difference between a BD-J player, a MHP box, or an IPTV STB, in theory. And FX will be deployable on current Java based middleware including those platforms

FX for TV is part of Sun goal - running on multiple screens (Desktop, TV, Mobile). FX Desktop and Mobile are already out, and soon FX TV will be released too.

Please visit: http://javafx.com/

So please stay tune for more info to come.

There could be some interesting announcements around Java FX for TV around JavaOne this year (early June in San Fransisco). This is something that I am eagerly waiting and hoping for. After the overwhelming response on mobile, TV will be the next.
