I have a Symbol MC70 wm5 arm device that I need a JVM for.

I have tried sooooo many different directions now to setup my windows environment and java and all of the tools, and cygwin and cyg4me, and have yet to find a single person's directions that actually work. And each set of directions has turned out to be so different in env variables set, exports, shell scripts, warnings, etc.

Some of the directions I have followed so far:
http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Mobileandembedded/PhoneMEBuilding
http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Mobileandembedded/PhoneMEAdvancedGSGWinMobile
http://www.cs.kuleuven.be/~davy/phoneme/?q=node/8

I have XP SP3, VS 2005, and svn 17008 for phoneME-Advanced. I'm trying to build a CDC JVM to support AWT (and eventually JDBC). Can someone please point me in the right direction.

Well, no one ever replied to this, but I was finally able to get my phoneME built. I reckon I could help others if they struggle the way I did and have a similar setup.

It would really help if you can tell us how you got around to building it.

Thanks!
