Installation problems under XP

Hi everyone,

I am attempting to install Glassfish V2.1 under Windows XP, and am hitting a few issues that I wonder if anyone can help with.

I judiciously followed the installation instruction firstly to be met with an error that tools.jar could not be found, and I got over that by copying it into the required jdk directory.
I mention that only in case it was the wrong thing to do.

However, at the moment the installation is failing with the following error:

Warning: Could not find file C:\Program Files\glassfish\lib\install\templates\asenv.bat.template to copy."

Has anyone any idea where I can download this file from? (I have searched and it is not bundled in the download)

Are you sure you downloaded Windows specific GlassFish distribution?
This will happen if you download one of other distibutions and run it on
Windows...

Can u please check to see if your download of the install image is okay? You could check the size, checksum cross referring to the information in the download site.

Looks like you have attempted unsuccessful multiple installations and this needs manual cleanup unless you have gone through an un-installation process.

Before you attempt the next installation,
-Remove the and its contents
-Remove \productregistry, where is usually \windows\system32.
-Also make sure that if you have any running processes(server, open explorer etc.,) occupying this location are cleaned up properly.
