Samsung to revamp sales & distribution across India
Samsung Mobiles India is reviving its sales and distribution arrangement in India with 17 sales offices in smaller key markets. The company plans to decentralize operations till the branch level. It is also planning to rope in more distributors. These steps will be taken with a hope to protect it from slowdown in sales and double the sales in the coming fiscal.
The company had doubled sales last year and is looking to bring in more distributors. It will focus on enhancing sales channels in order to achieve better results in 2009.The products in offer will also observe a resurgence with focus on touch phones, dual-SIM phones, music and entry-level handset models.
Entry level phones will be more inclined on performance rather than a low price tag. In addition to mobile phones, Samsung will focus on IT products in 2009.In this category there will be products like the notebook. In lieu of this expansion, the IT division manpower has also been increased.
