Hi,

well, i'm learning how to use JT and ME... in truth, i already runned the SimpleTestSuite with the Sun Wireless ToolKit.

Now, i'm trying to run a test with and MIDlet. Just for learn purpose, i downloaded an JAR/JAD from internet (with no source) an now i'm trying to test it.

For example, i want to write an automated test that change a configuration of the MIDlet using the agent at the emulator, and i found no one tutorial or post that teachs step-by-step how to do it.... if has a way to do it.

My doubt is:

Have a way to test MIDlet's configuration in an automated mode? If yes, how can i do it (or where to learn how) ?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Fiora,

what do you mean by wording "change a configuration of the MIDlet using the agent"? Do you want to change some manifest's attributes or security settings or something else?

Hi again Alexander,

well, I want to change is, for example:

I have a J2ME game and I come into its menu and change the "sound" to "yes" or "no" in an automated manner.
Or run the program and pause it automatically.

Thanks.

Hi Fiora,

the JT Harness by itself and ME Framework in particular are designed for automated API checking, not UI checking. Despite the fact ME Framework supports GUI tests, they require the user interaction and called accordingly - interactive. For automation of such tests you need to use third paties tools .

Thanks,
Alexander
