I also download JavaSE Embedded for Linux ARM5
# file java -version
magic data from /etc/magic:/usr/share/file/magic
Does it mean java can run?
# file java HelloWorld
java: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, ARM, version 1 (ARM), for GNU/Linux 2.4.3, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), stripped
HelloWorld: ERROR: cannot open `HelloWorld' (No such file or directory)
why HelloWorld.class cannot run?

Thank you very much!

How did you get it onto the device? FTP?
Did you change to binary mode when you transferred?

You might try the command "file" on it... as in:
>file ./java
and see if it is a binary elf-arm5 type file.... or what ever is correct for your device.
You might try doing "file" on an exec file that you know runs on it to see what to expect.
