Section 5.4 of the spec says an implementation must support @EJB and
@EJBs.

What does the container documentation say?

Somebody raised a similar question on a Websphere forum almost a year ago and was told to look up the EJB manually using JNDI. It stated that @EJB works in Servlets but not JSF backing beans
