Greg --
The new eclipse project looks great -- it seems that some of the 'snippets' are missing though - we used to have dojo and scriptaculous snippets -- (as well as others) -- are those coming back?

I just doublechecked in the plugins dir and all the resources look like they are there

D:\eclipse_2\eclipse\plugins\org.jmaki.eclipse.core_1.8.1\assets\widgets\widgets\resources\jmaki

as do the templates

D:\eclipse_2\eclipse\plugins\org.jmaki.eclipse.core_1.8.1\assets\widgets\widgets\templates\jmaki

Hi,

I found the bug. It had to do with the File.separator in windows is the escape character and we needed to account for that in file name comparison.

Can you re-install the plugin and let me know if you still see any issues. I did clean up the UI a little too.

Hi Greg -

I uninstalled, and re-downloaded from http://jmaki.com/eclipse and it looks to still have the same problem - is there a class file that was changed that I can look at to make sure that I got it with the download - or is there a way to turn on debugging?

The snippet items will be all white in the updated plugin.

Can you try overwritting the jMaki plugin by unzip the contents of :

http://jmaki.com/eclipse/jmaki-eclipse-javaee-1.8.1.zip

Into your plugins directory? You will need to restart eclipse. I would actually suggest stoping eclipse when copying in the plugins.

If this doesn't work I'll need to up the numbering. I was hoping to keep this at 1.8.1 to be in sync with the jMaki version.

Sorry about the trouble.

Hi again,

I'm still seeing issues myself. The resources are getting copied to the top level directory.

Let me see if I can iron these out and I'll repost when I've got this fixed.

Alright. The issue was similar to the last where Windows Eclispe uses Unix style file separators internally and the project WebContents was not being correctly located. It is fixed and I tested with Tomcat 6.x.

Sorry about all the trouble.

No worries about the issues - been there, done that :-)

I tried hitting the link that you posted for the zip but that gives 404 -

I manually deleted the plugins (via the s/w config) and redownloaded but seem to have the same issue -

if you have a zip that you'd like me to try I can do that

Hi again,

Sorry about that:

Here it is:

http://jmaki.com/eclipse/jmaki-eclipse-javaee-1.8.1.zip

I updated the other link so no one else gets tripped up.

Greg -

I am still seeing the same issue after removing completely and downloading and manually copying in -

In the AM I will give it a try with a fresh eclipse (just in case)

Hi again,

I noticed the same issue. When I was testing I was just replacing the class files and restarting with issues.

What fixed it for me was to re-install eclipse and the zip files were fine. I also got ride of my workspace (you could use a different one just to verify). Eclipse stores some data in the workspace as well.

Sorry to cause the trouble. Updating the version numbers even for test builds would prevent this and that is how we will do this going forward.

Let me know if you are still having issues.

Hi Scanlonjts,

So our goal with the newest plugin was to have it leaner by not shipping everything and also make the widgets really easy to update / install. The Eclipse plugin is only 1.4 MB which is the smallest yet!

In the plugin load the jMaki Resource Center as described at:

http://jmaki.com/eclipse/jmaki-resource-center.html

Select widgets and you will see all the latest libraries there were you can install them with one click.

We have latest Dojo and Scriptaculous libraries there.

You can also manually download the widgets from :

http://jmaki.com/downloads/widgets/

and install them from the snippets or Preferences->jMaki->Widgets page

Let us know what you think about the experience.

actually - I spoke to soon

The UI IS much nicer than previous - but the plugin does not seem to be functioning properly -- it is not copying the js files to the appropriate directories -

example :
created new dynamic web project. enabled jmaki facet. created new jmaki jsp. dragged in barchart -- tried to run on server

SEVERE: unable to locate 'component.js' in '/jmaki/charting/bar', '/resources/jmaki/charting/bar' or ClassPath 'META-INF/resources/jmaki/charting/bar'

any ideas on how to go about debugging this ?

Hi Sanlonjts,

I just verified the Java EE project support and I didn't have an issue:

I path I'm following is here:

http://jmaki.com/eclipse/javaee-projects.html

So some questions for you:

1) What version of eclipse are you using?
2) If you are using 3.4 are you creating a new Project using :
File->New->Project->General->Faceted Project ?
3) Can you verify that a /resources directory was created under your WebContent directory?

Hopefully we can figure out what is going on here.

1) What version of eclipse are you using?
==3.4.1
2) If you are using 3.4 are you creating a new Project using :
File->New->Project->General->Faceted Project ?
==yes - just ran thru that exact scenario again just be be sure
3) Can you verify that a /resources directory was created under your WebContent directory?
==there is one getting created - there is just nothing in it - (I checked thru eclipse and by looking directly at filesystem)
