Slow dragging/resizing of JInternalFrame

Fast with u7, like treacle with u10 (Windows).
I haven't done any investigation yet to determine the cause. Has anyone else seen this?

D'oh! You asked about internal frame..

You're not using 'wire' mode, are you?
If so, it's done using xor which is not hw accelerated in 6u10 and will slow everything down (6635462)

Thanks for the comments --- that may be related. The internal frame demo in the Java tutorial demonstrates the issue perfectly (at least on Vista)

This is the cause of the trouble:
desktop.setDragMode(JDesktopPane.OUTLINE_DRAG_MODE);
