Using Firefox every time a click on the "Big Picture" on this page I get the dreaded UAC dialog referring to jqsnotify.exe

I have the release build of 1.6u10 installed (build 33).

Later: It has stopped happening after a restart of Firefox.

Running Vista Home Premium SP2
Firefox 3.6
JRE Ver 6 Update 16

This is now also an issue for me since I updated to Firefox 3.6. I cannot permanently disable Firefox's Java Quick Starter 1.0 from Firefox's Add-ons. While it appears to let me disable Java Quick Starter, every time I open a new Firefox instance or Window I get the UAC warning regarding c:\progrm files\Java\Jre6\bin\jqsnotify.exe

This does NOT stop after restarting Firefox. (Well it stops after the restart temporarily. After a reboot or starting a new instance of Firefox it happens all over again -- the Java Quick Starter becomes enabled again in Firefox.)

There is a similar issue with IE if that browser is running when u10 is installed. Again it goes away after a restart.

I have been having this problem. I don't know if the problem was solved yet for you all, but I haven't been able to find an answer on the web that worked for me, until today. In Firefox 3.6, you can disable the Java Quick Start plugin from the Plugins dialog in Firefox. After that I haven't had the problem.
