hello, is it technically possible to compile the nimbus sources targeting a java5 jre?

or are there any specific java6 calls in the nimbus code?

what about licensing? is it even allowed?

thanks!

It does not even work on JDK7-ea builds, because it depends on many fixes of Synth which are only in JDK6u10 for now, so I guess it won't run fine in JDK5.

However, as far as I know there were stand-alone builds of nimbus before it was integrated in JDK6u10, so maybe you've luck with them.

Good luck, Clemens
