Hi all,

I have gone through the Presence Status document.I have query in RLS.
how the RLS get the friends list of a client and maintaing it.

I have mention my observation, please check my observation is correct or not.

According to my observation:
When the client1 send the subscribe request of client2, that time the RLS will stored Clent2 in friends list of client1.

What happen when the Client2 moves to offline, whether the Client2 is removed from Client1 friend list in RLS or not.

What happen when Client1 moves to offline, whether his friend list in RLS will be deleted or it will be there in the RLS.

Thanks

About buddylist URI

The user buddy list is maintained by the user, not the RLS. Usually the user agent goes to XDMS to retrieve his buddy list and then issue a subscribe (to the Presence Server) for each entry of the list. An alternative is that the buddy list has a sip uri and the user agent sends a subscribe to that uri, which goes to the RLS, which then gets the list content from the XDMS and creates subscriptions for each entry in the Presence Server, and whenever gets a notification forwards it to the user agent.

Thanks for Your reply,
but i have some more queries ...

1.How XDMS will get User Agent friend's list?(whether at the time of UA subscribe the status of other User Agent while adding )
2.what is buddylist URI and How budylist URI created?

1. It's the User Agent that stores the buddy list in the XDMS
2. Again it is the UA that can create a list in the XDMS rls-services with a specific SIP URI, this "service" can either define the list content there or reference (thorugh a absolute XCAP URI) a resource-lists document also in a XDMS (doesn't need to be the same)

I recommend you to go through the OMA SIMPLE Presence enabler specification docs to see the complete IMS/OMA SIP Presence picture...
