I can run both the eVC4 build for Windows Mobile 2003 and the
VS2005 build for Windows Mobile 5 just fine on my Windows CE 6
emulator. I do not have a real device to play with.

What device are you testing with and did you make your own builds?
If so, are you sure that all library dependencies are met?

I built a emulator with PDA/Enterprise Pad profile of CE6 - phoneme don't work. but when I switch to PDA/Mobile Hold - phoneme work well.

BTW, do you know whether current MR3 support MMAPI on wince?

OK, in that case it is very likely a missing library issue.

I don't know by heart which libraries phoneME needs by default (if you built
it yourself), but I think you will need the aygshell and direct draw libraries.
It has been a while since generated a wince image, but I also experienced
the problem that some profiles do not include the required libraries by
default.

JSR 135/MMAPI on WinCE is pretty much unsupported.

Thanks, Davyp.

Regarding MMAPI, any shortcut to make it ready on wince?

No,

I haven't seen any open source JSR 135 implementation for WinCE that we could reuse.
Porting the Win32 implementation is not straightforward as it requires a complete
implementation of the Javacall porting layer to WinCE.
