Getting strange error from JDICplus 0.2.2

Hi All,

I am trying to use JDICplus 0.2.2 and getting an error about file not found when passing http://www.google.com to the BrComponent.setURL(URL arg)

The error is:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: http:\www.google.com (The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect)

Not sure what I am doing wrong. Seems simple enough. I looked at the "simple demo" example and I do not see what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for any help.

Okay in both eclipse and as a separate folder with the project specified dlls I am getting an error about the project dlls. I get:

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError jdicWeb.dll: The specified procedure could not be found.

If I use the native jar supplied with the project I do not get the error for some reason. Perhaps the dlls in the jar are different or the ones separate or the Web Start is finding what it needs.

Has anyone gotten 0.2.2 to work either in Eclipse or as a jnlp application?

Thanks,
-Tony

Hi All,

I found out this dll link error is OS dependent. JDICplus will not work on Windows 2000 Professional Sp4. It does work on Windows XP SP2. On Windows 2000 Prof I tried jre 1.6.0_05 and upgraded to 1.6.0_7 and the link error still exists. On my Win XP SP2 laptop I have jre 1.6.0_05 and JDICplus does not throw the dll link error.

I still get the file not found error for http://www.google.com but I will continue to pursue that problem.

Regards,
-Tony
