Hi, I am having problem making sound.bdmv using soundgen.jar. For troubleshooting this issue, I used the soundsplit.jar to get the wav files from the known good sound.bdmv in HDCookbook disc image. Then I ran "java -jar soundgen.jar sound0.wav sound1.wav ... sound.bdmv" (per README.txt for this utility) with these known good wav files. The result is always the same error: "Unsupported conversion: PCM_SIGNED 48000.0 Hz, 16 bit, unknown number of channels, unknown frame size, big-endian from PCM_SIGNED 48000.0 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, 4 bytes/frame, little-endian".

The author of "BDJSoundGenerator.java" is A. Sundararajan. But help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris,

I had the same problem. However, when i put tritonus converters in classpath
as described in README.txt, it works fine.

http://www.tritonus.org/tritonus_share-0.3.6.jar
http://www.tritonus.org/tritonus_remaining-0.3.6.jar

java -cp soundgen.jar;tritonus_share-0.3.6.jar;tritonus_remaining-0.3.6.jar net.java.bd.tools.BDJSoundGenerator sound0.wav... sound.bdmv

Hi flat8,

Thanks for answering the question regarding sound.bdmv tool.

PS. I work from India -- and hence the delay in seeing/replying emails.

Thanks,
-Sundar

Hi Sundar, flat8,

I did try the command with tritonus jars in classpath but it also failed on my office computer (Win XP 32bit). However I just did it with SUCCESS on my home computer (Vista 32bit, BTW I am in California time zone) with tritonus jars downloaded from the links provided by flat8. I will double-check to see what went wrong on my office computer environment.

Thanks for your prompt help!

chris
