Network is unreachable

Hi there all.
I met an issue that I'm not able to figure out. I have two machines linked between them and every time I try to run, for example, Jxta Shell (but it can be any jxta application), an exception is thrown on one of them (or both sometimes): IOException: Network is unreachable, at PlainDatagramSocketImpl.send, at DatagramSocket.send, etc...

I do not really get the problem, because the connection is ok, everything works (I used the Network Configurator and I deactivated the roaming mode and I set a static IP on both, 192.168.0.10 and 192.168.0.11) , but not Jxta and I wonder why.

On both I have installed Ubuntu Linux 8.04, I use J2se1.6u6 and that's all.

Thanks in advance for any reply.

That particular exception is generated by the host operating system TCP/IP stack and is likely due to either a bad address or a network misconfiguration. What address is it showing for the message? Is it the address of your other peer or some other address?

Thanks for reply. I solved the problem by configuring in a better way the network under Linux, then everything went fine.
