Is tcp://127.0.1.1:9710 the address of your rendezvous peer or the address of a system providing a list of rendezvous peers?

There are two options in the configuration of seed rendezvous/relay peers. You can explicitly provide the seed peers via addSeedRelay() or addSeedRendezvous(). These methods say "'This is the address of a relay or rendezvous that JXTA should use". The alternative is to use addSeedingRelay() or addSeedingRendezvous(). These methods say "This is the address from where you can load a list of relays or rendezvous that JXTA should use". ie. Seeding adds a level of indirection which allows the choice of seed peers to be more dynamic because their definition is delayed until JXTA loads the list.

Addditionally, I notice that the seeding address specified is a 'tcp' address. JXSE can currently only load seeding lists from 'file', 'ftp', 'http' or 'https'. (Or any other scheme that has a URLConnectionHandler subclass defined). No connection method is defined for tcp addresses in the default JDK.
