Hi,
currently there is no in place editing for multi-line text. We are
thinking about adding support for multi-line text fields but its a
low priority.

TextField is generally designed for simple use cases such as search
or auto complete e.g.: http://lwuit.blogspot.com/2008/06/lightweight-
text-input-in-lwuit.html

Its great for those use cases since you can get immediate feedback
(which you can't if you move to another form), but it has issues with
internationalization etc. For multi-line input text area would be
much easier to use and an editable multi-line text field might not be
as intuitive.

Thanks.
