Hi,

I have "phoneME Feature MR2 binary bundle (Development Release)".

When I try to run this binary on Linux/x86 I get the following error:
"open of /tmp/.qtvfb_mouse-0 failed"

I got the above error while I was executing either of the following statements:
# ./installMidlet http://10.10.18.119:8080/ota-poc/22-7/FirstOne.jad
OR
# /.autotest

I request you to please help me out to run the above one smoothly.

Thanks in advance!

With regards,
G.K..!!

Did you launch a container for the application to render into? e.g.

/opt/Qtopia/bin/qvfb -depth 16 &

Yeahh, I have tried both of the following:

# qvfb -depth 16 -width 176 -height 210 &
# /opt/Qtopia/bin/qvfb -depth 16

But, for both of the above, it is saying that bash: qvfb: command not found

Please help me out, as I am new to Linux.

Gary

Perhaps you haven't installed qvfb, yet.
What flavor of Linux are you running?
What version of Qte is installed?
Did you build the phoneme executables yourself?

Hi,

This is Redhat Fedora 9. And I haven't installed qvfb or Qte. Frankly speaking I dont have idea what to install in order to run the executables of PhoneME.

And I havnt built the phoneme executables. I just had taken the "phoneME Feature MR2 binary bundle (Development Release)" and copied to my linux machine.

I request you to please help me out in this regard.

Thanks in advance!

With a quick search for "download fedora qvfb". I
found a link that might help you get started.

Hi,

I had installed qt-2.3.8. And inorder to compile the Qt/Embedded library, I did the below things:
# cd ~/qt-2.3.8
# export QTDIR=~/qt-2.3.8
# export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=~/qt-2.3.8/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
# ./configure -qvfb
# make

I also have copied qtopia-free-1.7.0-2rh9.i386.rpm
And installed by giving the following on the command line: rpm -i qtopia-free-1.7.0-2rh9.i386.rpm
Qtopia is installed now.

And I have tried to run Qtopia using the following commands:
# export QPEDIR=/opt/Qtopia
# export QTDIR=$QPEDIR
# export DQTDIR=$QPEDIR
# export PATH=$QPEDIR/bin:$PATH
# export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$QPEDIR/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
# qvfb &

# qvfb -depth 16 -width 176 -height 210 &
And with the help of above command, I am able to see a Virtual framebuffer 176X210 16bpp Display:0

And now I have tried installMidlet command:
# ./installMidlet http://10.10.18.119:8080/ota-poc/22-7/FirstOne.jad

Still I am getting the same error open of /tmp/.qtvfb_mouse-0 failed

Plzz help me out..
