Error/validation messages - are they standard?
I'm using jaxp for validating a document against a schema. If the schema is not available to the user, the following error messages is send to the validation: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element...
Now if I would like to be more specific with this message, and say something like "The schema could not be located to validate your XML configuration file", but for this I would have to rely on the error code/message raised by the parser.
Now the question is: is this error message standard? so that if I'd move to another jaxp implementation my code would still work just fine, or I would bind my code to this implementation if converting the error message.
Thanks for assistance,
