Hello,

I've found a dialog in the Resource Editor which is undokumented.

It's the Image-Border feature for a button: Add Button -> border -> ... -> Type: Image

I can choose Center, Top Left, Top, Top right, Right, Bottom Right, Bottom, Bottom Left and Left Images.

And I can click 3 Image Mode.

If I choose any image and press OK, the dialogue doesnt save my chooses at all.

Is it a bug in the Resource Editor?

I was hoping that this dialog could help me to do this.

I need an image as background for a button.

But the background image a seperated into 3 different images.

An image s for the left columnn

An image c for the center column, repeating.

An image r fot the right column.

So my background is build together like this:

scccccccccr
scccccccccr
scccccccccr
scccccccccr

or this:

scccccccccccccccccccccr
scccccccccccccccccccccr
scccccccccccccccccccccr

Greetings,
Marco

Hi,
the border feature was announced in the latest drop and is a newly
developed feature. This feature is still under development in the
resource editor (and in the Ant task) but is experiencing delays with
all the work swamping us.
The 3 image border is designed as part of the 9 image algorithm
detailed in Border class, these images represent:
1. The top left corner.
2. The top line
3. The tiled center of the image (optional)

The image border feature seems to be broken in the resource editor,
hopefully this will be fixed for the next drop.
In the meantime you can use it as demonstrated by the LWUIT demo in
the Buttons section.

Thanks,
Shai.
