First of all: Hi all (i m new here)

My question is: How could i set/force my menu to be on the left rather than on the rigth side of the "menu bar" ?

If it is not allowed for now, would you plan to make it possible ?

thx

Hi,

Thanks for the answer but it does not respond to my question.
I do not try to exchange the softkey codes.

I want to add for example 2 sotkeys (menu) on the left menu and 3(menu) on the right side.
Actually all I got is 1 on left and a menu on the right and when i open the right menu I got 5 softkeys.

Maybe my explanations are not clear but what I would like to have is the possibility to force the adding of a menu on the left side or on the right side ...

OK,

This is a part of the answer . Thanks.

Would a solution for this be developped in LWUIT ?
Am i in the right place (the forum) for asking this ?

What is the problem of having two menu popup on the same form ?

Hi,
You can use a dialog to simulate a menu for the command appearing on
the other side. Theoretically you can avoid menus completely and just
use commands that popup dialogs acting as menus (which are
technically just glorified dialogs), this however is not trivial.

There is an example of something like this which I built to allow
submenus which aren't supported in LWUIT by default here:

menus.html

Thanks.
