I'd like to integrate native input method into phoneME feature. I found JavaCall defined a function for launch native input form, but the function never be called by MIDP.

How can get uses the function? or How can I uses native input method from MIDP?

Regards!

hi,
You need to implement midp\src\highlevelui\nim_port\stubs library to support your own input methods. You can find the example of implementation here: midp\src\highlevelui\nim_port\example
You can find more information how the native modes are integrated in java layer here: midp\src\highlevelui\lcdlf\lfjava\native\lfj_native_input_mode - native part
midp\src\highlevelui\lcdlf\lfjava\classes\com\sun\midp\chameleon\input\NativeInputMode.jpp - java part

thanks

Thanks for ur help.

It seems the native input mode bases on hard-keys, I'd like to integrate handwriting-based input method. How can I do this? Write a java class with native function call?

Regards!
