hi,

is there a underlying layer in a form object?

perhaps a non-accessible container that contains a titlebar, contentpane and menubar?

form.getComponentAt(0).getClass() is not the same as form.getContentPane().getComponentAt(0).getClass()

but

form.addComponent(c) is the same as form.getContentPane().addComponent(c)

thanks,
transducer

Hi,
The Form is a simple Container in BorderLayout with 3 widgets: title -
Label in the north , contentPane - Container in the center and a
Softbutton - Container in grid with 2 buttons in the south.

Chen

"I'm not sure what the Conatiner(not accessible) stands for"

my phantasm ;) maybe it's better i cancel the imaginary underlying container...

edit:

"To enable portability, the Lightweight UI Toolkit library implements its own thin layer on top of the native system canvas and provides a widget abstraction."

(perhaps: http://www.flexy.de/lwuit_form2.jpg )

many thanks!
