HTTPS and "If-modified-since"

I am running the latest build of 6u10 (build 25). It does not seem to appear that the plugin is sending the "if-modified-since" header when communicating over https. My applet downloads several audio and image files and each time it re-downloads them, and there is no "if-modified-since" in the header. If I switch to http, I do see that in the header.

Is there any resolution on this issue. With the latest b28 this is still a problem. We use HTTPS and JAR files are specified in the "cache_archive" parameter of the applet tag. We have more than one JAR file being downloaded here. Sometimes the request is sent with the "If-Modified-Since" header and other times it is not. This causes the applets to be downloaded again even though we can clearly see them in the Java cache.

This is not an issue with the latest production release of the 1.6 plugin.

This works as you expect in 6.0? ie 6u4, 6u5, 6u6?

Yes, this is working in all production releases of Java 6.
