Hi;

We've been using JAI-IIO for years and it works great. I am just checking to make sure we're set to use the latest/best way of using it.

1) Should we be pointing people at ver 1.1 to download it? If so, is there a better page than https://jai-imageio.dev.java.net/binary-builds.html#Release_builds to send them to where it is VERY obvious what they should download (many of our customers are not programmers).

2) Does this remain an add-on or is it already in Java 1.5 or 1.6? In other words, after a given version of Java, do they not need to download & install JAI-IIO?

thanks - dave

...maybe the README file would tell you?

Do you have any idea where it installs the readme? I've looked but can't find one. And JAI_IIO installs without telling you where it puts anything so all I can do is guess. (I use the JRE installer.)

thanks - dave

Ok, that was dumb on my part.

They say nothing about folding it into Java 1.5 or 1.6 so I'm assuming that it is still a seperate library.
