Hi,

is there any "java3d-conform" way to access the z-buffer? Simply spoken: Lets suppose I have a scene rendered into a Canvas3D - is there any way to get a two dimensional array with the same dimensions as the canvas, containing the z-buffer information of every pixel? I browsed through the API but did not find a clue where to start ...

Try javax.media.j3d.Raster.

Great - thank you for giving me the start; I will figure out the rest by myself now.

Thanks a lot!
