Is there any way without using any IDE and "System.out.println" command,to debug a java programme by using command prompt.
I have heard about "Java Debug Level" in jdk, anybody can help me,that how can I set the Debug level?
I'm not sure I get what you mean, but probably JDB is what you are looking for (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/tooldocs/solaris/jdb.html)

alternatively to system.out.println you may want to use the Log4J option, that's pretty similar to the idea of sysout, but you can configure your logging much more. That's the industry standard for logging
hope this helps,
