I would like to gauge your feelings about auto updating 6u10 beta. There is a discussion at hand around this topic. Would you like us to have your installed JRE automatically download and ping you when there is a new Beta/RC beta build available?

The installation would use patch-in-place, meaning you would only have one JRE, rather then adding an additional JRE.

Please respond with:
Yes, I would like this.
No, I would not like this.

Any other feedback is of course welcome.

Also, for your information, we will be turning on the flag that will allow all beta builds to update to the final release (FCS/GA).

Thank you,
Roger

.... I mean, that would be very cool to try out. And worst come to worst, I can always to a fresh reinstall and rant ;)

Yes, I would like this.

How will the updates work? Patch-in-place, uninstall-install or install next to the old version?

They would be patch-in-place.
