Hello everybody.

This year I have the chance to got the first time to JavaOne. Besides the scheduled Blu-ray sessions, do you have any must see or must be suggestions?

Cheers,
Michael Vogt

Hi Michael Vogt,

JavaOne is at the top of my favorite Developers conferences, (also on the list is IBM's Rational Developers Conference). The only must see thing I can think of from my experiences is more of a tip for your time.

If you there is a vendor you are interested in the Pavilion I would recommend asking them if they have a VIP or private demonstration of their services/products. Sometimes vendors do off-site or private demonstrations. These are worth attending if you are serious about their product/service. They usually provide drinks in a room or location that is less noisy then the Pavilion floor. Often the vendor will have a developer or two attend the private demonstrations so you can ask real good questions right there, and they sometimes even provide a company that has used their service/product before so you can ask them directly what they thought.

Have fun at Java One!

Cheers,

Denny B.

Hi -

Aside from various technical sessions and BOFs, it might be fun to go to the opening keynote on Tues morning and see what Neil Young will say about Blu-ray!
