"Empty Password specified" with UsernameToken in SupportingTokens

When requesting a UsernameToken in a SupportingTokens section I got always a "Empty Password specified" exception whereas it works when I specify it within a SignedSupportingTokens section. With the SignedSupportingTokens the CipherValue is roundabout 100 chracters longer than with the SupportingTokens, thus I assume the password is really not included.

Why?

In both cases I use a SymmetricBinding/ProtectionToken/X509Token as SecurityBinding.

Thanks,
