Signed applets - possible to customize "Name" in security dialog?

For signed applets, the security dialog shows a "name" when asking users if they want to trust the applet. For the original plugin, it used the applet's class name, and for 6u10 it's using the DOM's applet ID (as far as I can tell). The ID won't work if, say, you want to use spaces in the name. For JNLP, there's a tag - is there an equivalent for applets?

Ok, thanks.

Just to verify, for the older plugin, the dialog shows the class name and there's no customization, correct?

I assume so. We're trying to push forward with JNLP-launched applets to solve this and other issues.

I'll have to look into this more deeply -- I don't remember an explicit change in the new plug-in, but there might have been an accidental change.

Note that the new plug-in now supports launching applets from JNLP files. This should let you get all of the customization benefits that Java Web Started applications have. However, I recall that we might not yet have hooked up the support for using the JNLP file's icon, name, etc. for the applet support. I'll look into this as well.
