hello everybody !! this is my question

- I created an application and add only one RDV and RELAY, the jxta.org.36 (only this one) after that i published a special advertisement using remotePublish.

- I deleted the cache and the configuration file and run the application again, but this time i add another RDV and RELAY peer, this times i added only jxta.org.37, and searched for the a ADV with getRemoteAdvertissement and i found it !!!!!

i was excpecting that i'll not find it since the advertissement is in the cache of jxta.org.36 and not in jxta37's cach, so this is my question ....

- are different standard RDV peer connected between themselves, I mean that discovery query messages are relayed between them ?

advertisements are cached when discovered by other nodes, you can only control the lifetime of the advertisement in the network by setting the desired expiration time. It is also beyond the control of the originating node to control the lifetime if a discovering node decides to extend the lifetime of the advertisement. It is simply the nature of distributed computing.

hello hamada, thank you for your answer but,

sorry!! i think you haven't understand my question, i know all what you said and i agree but my question is :
- are different standard RDV connected with themselves, i mean by standard RDV the list of rendez-vous availlable for testing the jxta like jxta.org.38 or jxta.org.39 ? are this two peers in direct relation in the jxta network ?

Yes, the development rendezvous' are interconnected and form a rendezvous peer view. resource resolution should be possible across nodes to connected to any of the nodes.
