Hi,

I need to build a web service client using JAX-WS. The web service is developed in .NET and one of its method is returning DataSet. Now is there any way that I can consume the DataSet type of .NET in my j2ee web service client (using any of toolkit like WSIT, JAX-WS, AXIS, XFIRE etc.).

Thanks!

Irfan

a good practice is never transport language specific types through
endpoints, always defining a wrapper in the metadata...

Unfortunately there is no straight forward way to do it.

You could though manually parse the soap that comes back from .net. Also, if you know the schema of the DataSet you can generate the java objects for that schema and deserialize the soap to them.
