Simple Access Model framework (SAM): New version released
A new version of the Light Development Simple Access Model framework (SAM) has been released today. SAM implements a simple 'if user has role xy, do this' approach so that server applications in need of authentication or authorisation do not require an individual implementation each.
Think of a Java Swing desktop application that should be used as the client to a remote server application. To let the server authenticate requests from that client application simply place SAM in the classpath of the server application, put an XML user table on the server and add some few lines of code to the server application to utilise SAM for login/logout and role based authorisation easily and instantly.
