I'm new with JAI. And I'm working on a project to create a CI to output in tiff.

My question is how to write to a tiff file with the image, string and drawing lines in JAI with multiple pages? Any sample?

Find blank and fillable Commercial Invoice forms at PDFfiller.
http://goo.gl/5z7Go6
You can fill the text fields, add a variety of checkmarks, digitally sign the form and even add pictures. After your pdf form is completed, it can be printed, emailed, faxed or saved on your computer. You can even send fillable pdf forms to your customers, employees, vendors and partners.

If all you need to do is draw into the image and write a TIFF file,
you can do this with core Java2D and JAI ImageIO Tools, you don't
need JAI at all.

In case this is confusing, JAI ImageIO Tools is a separate package
http://jai-imageio.dev.java.net that provides image input/output
plugins for Java ImageIO framework, including a TIFF plugin.

Thank you or the reply.

I'm going to add logo, which is image; also retrieve data from Database to populate in the TIFF format. And the output is with lines to seperate rows and columns of the invoice body.

I'm not sure if I need JAI or Java2D, JAI ImageIO tools.

Since it looks like you're rendering a document, you probably should
search for some document rendering technology. For instance, I'd try
to lay out the document with (X)HTML, so you can do whatever you want
(lines, tables, text, pictures), get it converted to a bitmap (e.g.
by means of FlyingSaucer - https://xhtmlrenderer.dev.java.net/, it's
a Swing renderer but you can of course use it to render to a back
buffer), and only at the end use JAI Image I/O with the TIFF plugin
to get the desired TIF.
