I'm trying to experiment with tuning using an unbound app, and get
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (org.dvb.net.tuning.TunerPermission EMPTY)

I'm basically setting up the NetworkInterfaceController, NetworkManager, and NetworkInterface and then passing an OcapLocator to the nic.reserved() command which fails with the above error.

I've set my priority to 255 in my xait.

Thanks indvance, and yes, I'm an ocap newbie.

Thanks again,

Ed

Ed,

Are you trying to tune to a broadcast Service for presenting that Service? If so, the API to use is ServiceContext.select(..). If your application is a signed application, you could create a service context and select the Service.

Good morning Ed,

I think the problem is most likely with the security (mis)configuration. Is your application signed? Did you include the right permission in the PRF (permission request file) associated with your application?

Also, the application priority of 255 is reserved to the monitor application. Are you running your application as a monitor application? Is it dually signed?

Regards,
Marcin
