I noticed after download and install of jre 6uN b11 the following error related to JDIC project.

Please advice on how to solve this problem. It is not effecting users yet but will if you release this as a beta.

Thanks,
-Tony

March 18th and bug still does not appear via the link.

Pehaps it has been fixed by now :-)

Weird. I can see the bug internally, but not on bugs.sun.com.

Hi Dmitri,

Any word on when this bug might be fixed? Is there a workaround to get the absolute location of the dlls downloaded? I did it this way becuase the dlls need to have a option passed to them via jni that gives the location of where they are.

This is a show stopper for me for use of this release. I tried jre 6 beta 10 as advertised off of the Sun website and it still fails the same way. The bug list shows it as being worked on.

Thanks,
-Tony

Surely the DLLs can find their own location? One of my posts here http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=258076&#258076 shows the absolute location of not only my own dlls but every dll loaded in the process. There may be a neater way.

Thanks I did not see the solution you are talking about. I will see if there exist any other alternative to finding the path to the loaded dlls in web start cache. Otherwise for other reasons I have disabled downloaded of this version of java.

I have hundreds of downloads that occur every week and even though I like the work done on 6u10 just released I have to keep all the potential downloads away from downloading 1.6.0_10 till this is resolved.

Using Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_10-ea-b12) I get:

Thanks for reporting the issue. I can reproduce the issue with 6uN-b12, but not with 6u5. I have created a bug report to track this issue. The Bug ID is 6671201. It may take a day or 2 before the bug show up.

Hi Tony

Can you reproduce the issue in b12? Could you please submit a bug along with detail instructions of how to reproduce the issue?

Thanks,
Roger Y.
