Update on remote access

No replies

I would like to give everyone a brief update on the plans
regarding remote access to the Java Mobile & Developer Days
conference in two weeks.

At this point it is very likely we'll do some sort of
live broadcasting using appears
to be the most useful and workable low-overhead solution
solution at this point and our experiences so far have been
positive. Please be aware that requires a Flash
player on your local client as well as access to ports 1935
for both TCP/UDP in/out and the port of 6667 so you should
check your local setup to meet these requirements.

We will announce further details within a few days. Please
keep in mind that if we do broadcasting then it will be
on a "best effort" basis and we can't make any guarantees
regarding quality and availability of the broadcast.

Of course, attending the conference in person will still
give you the best access to the content and people but we
hope the broadcast will help make the conference accessible
to people who are not able to be there in person.
