I work in Java by 7 years. By the last years most of my work is on web applications. Last few projects are AJAX applications, last one is write in GWT. I hate html/css/javascript. I do not want write about problems of creating cross browser applications, witch everybody know.

So it wold be nice to replace this by simple add to JRE browser-plugin javaFx functionality. End user will write in browser address field e.g. http://some.domain/index.jfx and application will be open in browser window as html pages is loaded now. Of course there are many problems: SEO, security, performance, etc. But maybe it is the way to once for ever forget about html. This can be really cross-platform RIA technology. :)

What do you think about this ?

P.S.
Sorry for my English.

I think something like that is the plan, but things are still pretty far from that. At the very least, it is my understanding that JFX support will be built into the plugin, even if not directly executable as you describe...
