Accessing "internal" JAXBContext

I think it's great that when using the JAX-WS stack I don't have to think too much about what's happening under the covers. However, I've run in to a situation where I need to "get at" the unmarshaller being used internally and attach an Unmarshal Event Callback listener to it.

Is there an alternative to this? Basically, I have something coming over in the XML for the web service but I would like to modify the value in something like a listener... Are there some kind of jaxb bindings I can use to this end?

Thanks for any input.
