JTabbedPane blues

While using NetBean's JFrame construction kit, I discovered the JTabbedPane. Having tabbed navigation in my applet is the best way for it to be implemented, but I have found that the JTabbedPane can only hold 1 component at a time. Please let me know if I am wrong about this fact, and how to fix it, or if there is a different SWING component that will allow me to have more than one component in each tab. Also, it seems the components held within each tab regulates the titles for the tabs. Maybe it's just me, but that seems like a RIDICULOUSLY stupid idea. Please let me know what you think is a good solution to my problem. Thank you.

Hi,

I think you should take a look at this: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/tabbedpane.html

(You'll find that each tab can only hold one component each, but that you should add additional components to that one component, which is usually some sort of JPanel)

BTW, this is not the Swing forum, the correct forum would be here: http://forums.java.net/jive/forum.jspa?forumID=74
