i am new to embedded development, and after developing phoneME for i386 and arm, i want to build it for MIPS. is it supported by phoneME feature software? also i need some useful links about other architectures. thanks.
You can refer to my phoneMEFeature porting for PSP, which is MIPS arch, it uses C Interpreter. All source code is available from the project site:
MIPS port is not officially supported.
Yet, it is relatively easy to port phoneME Feature VM to MIPS platform.
This simple port would use on C-language interpreter loop, not including JIT-compiler or optimized assembler-language interpreter loop.
but my question was how can i do this? can u plz refer me to some site or guide me through the process?
If your MIPS device runs linux, you can use linux_mips config.
Just set all the env variables needed for CLDC VM build as usual,
GNU_TOOLS_DIR should point to your cross-toolchain for MIPS.
Go to cldc/build/linux_mips and type 'make parallel_debug'.
