Hello,

I have some problems getting the hdcookbook project to play back with PowerDVD.
PowerDVD can play back the sample from the companion DVD of "The HD cookbook"

I got the current source from the repository and use NetBeans 6.0 to compile the hdcookbook project. It compiles OK and all the necessary files are copied to the disc image. But if i try to playback the image, PowerDVD only shows a black screen and does not start the menu.

Comparing the JARs from the companion DVD and my compiled ones shows that 00001.jar and 00002.jar are a lot smaller and do not contain as much class files in the grin folder when i compile them.

Can someone suggest a solution?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for trying out our project!

Could it be an issue described in this thread?

Hi,

I'm afraid this is something else. PowerDVD reports no error. I think the JAR files are somehow not built correctly. This may be caused by my JAVA stupidity, but I have no idea what goes wrong; the build log shows no errors.

Thanks,

majo

Hi Majo,

As for "PowerDVD reports no error", are you enabling tracing or is this about what's shown on the screen?

How far does the log go?

Thanks,
Chihiro

Hi,

Problem is solved. It seems that I compiled the sample project against wrong versions of the different packages (Java TV and PBP).

Thanks
