hi,
i am buiding CLDC of phoneME Feature software in product and release modes by setting USE_DEBUG to false. but, the problem i am facing is that the executables, object files, libraries and other files belonging to all the build modes(i.e. debug, product, release) are also generated in the output.

i wanted to know that how can i build in just release or product mode?

For CLDC VM, the build mode is specified by make target, not by make/env variable.
'make all' - (default), all three builds
'make debug' - only debug build
'make release' - only release build
'make product' - only product build

Would it be good to have standard targets for each of the stand alone
Java ME components and products? e.g. feature and advanced phoneme
builds supporting the same targets.

Are these the right targets? Should they also be supported for the MIDP/CLDC
and MIDP/CDC makefiles?

It would be good.
Ideally, I would like to see a unified build system for the Java ME products.
