Hi,

just for understanding (I am not sure, if this is the right way to implement some Javacode into BD):
I build a menu as BD-J title. Let's assume, that I've some more Movie Object titles on the disc.
For example:
Topmenu (BD-J)
Main Movie (Movie Object)
Special Features (Movie Object)

How can I jump (call) from "Topmenu" to "Main Movie" when I pressed the specific button in Topmenu. Furthermore, is it possible to force a specific button to highlight in "Main movie"? It would be nice, if you have some code or information about this.

with kind regards

OK, just to be sure we're on the same page: The thing that HD-DVD calls
a "title" is called a playlist in Blu-ray. The thing that HD-DVD calls
a "playlist" is called a title in Blu-ray. In other words, in Blu-ray,
a title is something that contains multiple playlists. A playlist is a
list of video clips that can be played by seamlessly.

With that understanding, if you really do want to change the title,
you use the title selection API (org.bluray.ti). This inherits from the
Java TV service selection API (javax.tv.service) - the MHP/JavaTV concept
of "service" (which basically means "TV channel" in broadcast) is mapped onto
the Blu-ray concept of title. To use the title selection API, your xlet needs
to be signed.

Often, however, you might just want to select a different playlist. This
is how the HD cookbook disc does what it does. The bonus video and the
background starfield are all part of the same title.

This is discussed in more detail in the cookbook.

Cheers,

Bill
