I am starting a new project targeting Linux/ARM and need a Java ME implementation (CDC 1.1 with foundation profile). I'd like to use phoneME but am not sure whether to use MR1 or MR2. One of the main requirements is that the Java platform is stable, it does not need to implement all the latest JSRs and such.

I am under the impression that MR2 is less stable than MR1... is this really the case? Which version of phoneME should I be using for this project? I have searched the site and forums and haven't found a real clear answer. Is there a link that gives a definitive answer?

If you need CDC-based solution, you should use phoneME Advanced, not phoneME Feature.

The differences between MR1 and MR2 are described on the following pages:

Dear Noky,

Thanks for the interest to the Mobile&Embedded community and phoneME project.

If you are looking for the CDC bits you should use different forum which is phoneME Advanced.
Developers out there would be able to guide you on stability/functionality/platform questions.

Regards
Kostya
