Hi everybody,

I'm developing an application in WTK and i just can't figure out how to display a simple image (not present in the phone) for an introduction when the application begins in the phone...and also to change its icon in the phone
It'll be of great help if somebody could tell me how to go about it...

Also,
Please suggest a resource or a link to a downloadable/non-downloadable tutorial for mobile java ajax.

Actually, it's easier than you think. Sang Shin has been doing a course on Ajax, here is the presentation:

But for mobile things are a lot easier. Really, you app just accesses a URL to trigger some server-side functionality and then you wait for the response, parse it, and use it.

If you look at the samples like the Yahoo! local business search on the Mobile Ajax project it should be pretty easy to understand how things work. You can open the project in NetBeans, turn on the debugger, and step through each line of code to see what it does.

Want to see a slashScreen with an image not present on the phone? You can only do so you create an image by implementing the paint () method.

Best regards,
